ZOOGENES: ORIGIN

ZooGenes: Origin is a pixel-animal game living inside The Arena. No NFT hoops to jump through. You open up, create your ZooGenes, pixelated animals with styled costumes, headgear, weapons, effects and start playing. The aim is to bring people right into the ZooGenes universe with zero friction, but with real token interaction baked in.

We’re one of the first game projects building natively on The Arena, working closely with their wallet / dev team to make sure everything from token checks to balance reading is clean and secure. At launch, ZooGenes: Origin will be available via The Arena’s app (App Store / in-app game section), so players don’t leave the experience.

What Is The Arena?

The Arena is a SocialFi application built on Avalanche, combining social media with tokenized influence. Users buy, trade, and hold “Tickets” that grant them stake or access and monetize social interactions. Creators benefit when their followers trade or tip.

It’s not just social posting! The Arena includes a built-in DEX, token launchpad features, tipping, and creator monetization tools.

Importantly for us: we are among the first developers building game experiences natively on top of The Arena. That means we’re working closely with their dev / wallet teams to ensure the integration is rock solid: that token balances, wallet checks, and data flows are seamless and secure.

ZooGenes: Origin will be published inside The Arena’s app (App Store, etc.) so users don’t leave the ecosystem. The idea is: open The Arena, see ZooGenes: Origin in the game section, download or “play now,” and your ZooGene journey starts… all inside Arena’s environment.

Gameplay Loop (with The Factory)

Here’s how players will live in ZooGenes: Origin, session by session:

When you first enter, you generate your ZooGenes, pick one base animal body (rabbit, wolf, panda, etc.) and layer on expressions, costumes, headgear, accessories, weapons, and magical effects.

Then you begin:

Factory (Token → Energy / kW)

This is a core mechanic. Tokens you hold in your Arena Wallet (initially $PLYR and $GAMR) feed into the Factory. The Factory produces kW (energy) over time, based on amounts and tiers held. That energy is what you spend to dig in treasure hunts. Without energy, you’re idle. The more tokens you hold, the faster your Factory generates, and the more energy storage you can accumulate.

Treasure Hunts / Digging

Spend kW to dig for equipment, items, XP, potions, stat books. Rarity, odds, and special drops are influenced by your token boosts via the Factory.

Enhancement & Progression

Equip new gear, upgrade from +0 to +10, allocate stat points as you level. Gear appearance changes how your ZooGenes look and feel.

Daily Rewards & Wheel Spins

Log in to claim rewards, get wheel tickets, spin for rare items or energy boosts.

Global Rankings & Social Flex

Your ZooGenes rank among others. Show off your combos, loadouts, and power. The more optimized your build, the higher you climb.

AND NEXT?

Combat / Invader Battles (coming next week)

Use your ZooGenes in turn-based fights vs AI invaders or bosses. Stats like Speed, Luck, Accuracy, Evasion, Attack, Defense, Magic all interplay. Crits, debuffs, multi-hits, cooldowns… every fight is a test of build.

MiniGames and cross-platform usage

We’re rolling out MiniGames inside ZooGenes: Origin quick, punchy experiences that let your ZooGenes show off in new ways. And beyond that, Origin won’t stay locked in one place. Cross-platform usage is coming, meaning the ZooGenes you level and gear today will follow you into other games and environments across the PLYR ecosystem. What starts in TheArena is just the beginning.

Token Integration & Roadmap

At launch, only $PLYR and $GAMR will feed into the Factory’s boosts. Your Arena Wallet balance of those tokens determines how fast your Factory generates kW, how much you can store, and how often you dig. Future updates will open up more token integrations from partner projects, allowing their communities to plug into the system too.

Because we’re building close with The Arena, our wallet integrations, token reads, and balance checks will be optimized. Any token held outside the Arena Wallet won’t be counted: we prioritize native, secure flows at launch.

We’re also planning a PLYR[ID] integration: when your ZooGenes account is linked to your PLYR identity, you unlock cross-game perks, identity continuity, and bridging across the ZooGenes/PLYR ecosystem.

Why This Matters

ZooGenes already had an NFT collection, but Origin is the bridge to bring everyone in, even people who’ve never touched blockchain games. Arena gives us the social, the wallet, the players. We bring the fun, the pixel animals, the mission loop, and the degen token synergy.

We’re among the first games live inside The Arena’s app store. That means we help shape how games should work on that platform. If we nail the Factory, token checks, wallet logic, and user experience, it becomes a blueprint for future game integrations in The Arena.

ZooGenes: Origin isn’t a side-project. It’s the on-ramp. Starting here, players build narrative, community, and investment in ZooGenes. Later they can graduate into NFT-based games or cross-game systems.
